P365x Macro Vs Glock 43x - When you hear Sig P365, you probably envision a subcompact, or microcompact, pistol designed to be a competitor to pistols like the Glock 43. When the Macro P365X hit the market, it didn't compete with it for the same slot anymore. the Glock 43. The Macro P365X has competed in the compact pistol world with the likes of the Sig P229, the PDP Compact, and the Glock 19. The Glock 19 has long been the king of the compact pistol.

Compact pistols are designed to be the right mix of sizes for home defense and duty use while still being visible. These guns try to do it all and often can. The P365 is a genre-defining firearm that has completely revolutionized the concealed carry market. All the arms companies came out to compete. Now that it's entering the compact arena, it makes sense that the Glock 19 and the X Macro go head to head to see if the X Macro can take the crown from the Glock 19.

As a compact pistol, don't expect anything crazy. The gun should be able to land hits on a torso-sized target out to at least 50 yards. Shooters should expect their firearms to be accurate enough to achieve an all-black 10-10-10 drill. Both of these guns can do it and do it in style.

The Glock 19 has a slight advantage with a slightly longer sight radius than the X Macro, but only fractionally. On the other hand, the Macro X has a significantly better trigger than the Glock 19. The flat face trigger gives a much smoother trigger pull and less stacking. In the end it comes down to a tie. You can shoot or weapon with proficiency and expect 9mm rounds to hit where you want them.

This is where we get to the huge difference between the guns. Grab the Macro X and then pick a Glock 19. What do you feel? The X Macro offers a much better grip that is slimmer and more comfortable in your hand. You can get a higher grip on the gun without taking the Glock-knuckle on the trigger guard.

The X Macro magazine release is easier to press and easier to use due to the very slim grip design. As for the slide/release locks, they both have a tiny design. Both push on the back, and are hard to avoid by pushing down with an aggressive thumb grip on the front. Ultimately the Macro P355X beats the Glock 19 ergonomically.

In my experience, both guns work very well. I have yet to have any problems with any guns in practice. However, the Glock 19 has been around for years, and remains a high-end pistol choice because Glocks are reliable. Glock has set a new standard of reliability, and this should be considered. Glock makes reliable guns, and the 19 there is no dynamic change.

The X Macro and P365 series are also reliable pistols, but they don't have the same history of reliability that the Glock 19 follows around.

This will be short and sweet. The Glock 19 comes with a 15 round magazine as a stock option. On the other hand, the X Macro comes with a 17-round magazine. The capacity is not that big, but the efficiency is there. The Glock 19 is 5.04 inches tall, while the X Macro is 5.2 inches tall. The difference is very small, and two extra rounds are a nice touch. If you put a 17-round magazine in the Glock 19, it is much longer than the X Macro and generally less effective.

The Macro X really shines in the range for several reasons. First, there is a two-port compensator built into the end of the slide. This makes the X Macro easier to control and keeps the muzzle pressed down and on target for shot after shot. It's a nice feature that makes the compact gun control like a full size design.

Both guns handle well and are easy to control, easy to shoot, and very capable. The big downside to the Glock is that Gen 3 and Gen 4 rifles have this nasty habit of providing a nice grip to my hand when I shoot them. That's not a problem with the X Macro. The Macro X provides a more enjoyable range of experiences.

This even shows on the timer. That compensation makes a difference, and I consistently scored faster times with the X Macro. Sometimes it was as fast as 3/4 of a second. I could be a better shooter and drive those times down with a non-compound gun, but that's not what happened here.

The X Macro comes fiber optic ready with a standard accessory rail. The Glock 19 version comes in optical and non-optical ready models, and every model produced from the 3rd generation onwards has a rail. Using the X Macro series comes with a removable fire control group that allows you to change frames with ease. The P365 aftermarket is growing, but overall the Glock 19 and the Glock brand, completely, blows it out of the water.

Years of service and mass demand have made them the dominant king of the market. You can get magazines of all capacities, new triggers, new sights, expanded controls, and honestly, you can build a Glock without any Glock parts. Hell, in terms of magazines, you have multiple companies pumping mags and capacities from ten rounds to state bans up to 50 round Magpul drums.

The P365 series can try, but they can't beat the Glock in terms of accessorization and customization. There may come a time, but certainly not now.

P365 Macro Vs Some Other Guns I Own

I think the X Macro beats the Glock 19. It's smaller, easier to conceal, and the ergonomics are much better. We are at a stage where the 9mm has peaked in many ways. Sig magazine design innovation is giving them a serious edge in the market. The Macro P365X is their first foray into the subcompact world, and it's taking the compact market by storm. I think a lot of companies are going to have to look at their compact pistols and start making changes.
